Executive Director: Donna Klaeger leads CRCTX, acting as the critical community connector and offering strategic, visionary leadership.

She brings experience in community planning and development, government operations, transportation and water resources, health services delivery, and funding. Through Donna, CRCTX has considerable access to public and private resources at local, regional, and state levels.
She maintains working relationships with key policy makers in the Texas legislature and state government agencies, the U.S. Congress and city and county leaders throughout Texas.

Donna served as the Burnet County Judge for eight years. During that time, she successfully led efforts as diverse as water facility planning, economic impact studies, regional transportation initiatives, a VetRide program, and an affordable prescription drug program. She oversaw major county construction projects including the new Burnet County Jail and the Administrative Annex, and she positioned Burnet County to be debt-free in 2015.

She also has led or served on the boards of many local and state agencies. She is a member of the Austin Area Research Organization, former president of the Capital Area Council of Governments, and former chair of the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.  Donna convenes state and local stakeholders to work collectively to tackle complicated problems.  She is a powerful relationship-builder. Donna led the original effort to bring the CRC concept to life in 2004 as the Family Services Center. It started with funding from major donors Marc and Carolyn Seriff, Texas Housing Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
